Another land grab in the name of an endangered species? The government may declare more than one fifth of Hawaii critical habitat for 255 endangered plants and 2 insects. The most intriguing part of this is that one of the plants is almost gone already. There are only 9 specimens left! Last time I checked that is hardly enough to keep a species viable.
