After a long hiatus......

Yet another example of environmentalists not thinking all the way through their actions.
Mexico may retaliate against American trucks. Now, I don't want unsafe Mexican trucks on our highways any more than the next guy, but here is a prime example of the Law of Unintended Consequences. In their zeal to "protect" our environment the environmentalists have sued and stopped Mexican trucks from coming onto our highways. This puts us in violation of NAFTA and entitles Mexico to respond with equivalent economic damage, thereby hurting American companies and possibly putting Americans out of work. Its a sticky dilemma.

"The quickest way to kill your kid is to strap them into an SUV." Robert Kennedy Jr. (National Resources Defense Council) on O'Reilly Monday night. Not to be crass, but who's kids are more likely to die in an accident, yours in your Suburban or somebody else's in the Kia? You know the answer, I know the answer, apparently the NRDC doesn't.

Wow! More proof, this time from Pennsylvania that the Wildlands Project is not pro-nature, its anti-people.

Looks like some extreme environmental movements are having to confront the consequences of their actions. Maybe they will be forced to abandon their "people aren't important" attitude. I hope so.

Looks to me like some institutions of higher learning have decided to forgo academic independence and turn to outright advocacy. I fail to see why we need to understand environmental radicals any more than knowing that they don't value human life. Well, Cal State Fresno feels different, they are sponsoring a conference...... well, take a look for yourself.

Hmmm.... Does this mean they condone terrorism? What do you think?

Do you think that Portland has the right idea about how it should grow? Its system has been called Smart Growth, here's an article that should make people think twice about this so called "smart growth." It turns out that in their zeal to protect anything living (except people) the environmental movement is hurting the people who need help the most. Read on

Another favorite of smart growth enthusiasts is light rail, here's some enlightenment on that.
Is monorail the answer?

Are environmentalists altrusitic? I don't think so, I think that what they really want is power and the environment is just their vehicle. So, with that in mind, they will attack anything that anybody who is deemed an enemy of the environment does, as this example shows.

Happy New Year! Apparently PETA doesn't like the word happy. Well, at least not when its
connected to cows.
Hope you and yours are happy!
